Canadian Hadassah-WIZO (CHW) started in Ottawa by Lillian Freiman (z”l) over one hundred years ago. Our fundraising focuses on Children, Healthcare and Women, and we create strong connections to our projects in Israel and Canada.

CHW Ottawa has one large and active chapter that meets every month. The meetings include interesting speakers and activities, and over the years members have developed long lasting friendships.

Our chapter fundraising efforts include an annual spring tea that is catered by Centre members and honours a deserving member of the Ottawa community. We also hold craft sales, featuring handmade Chanukah and Passover and other items such as baby quilts and Mah Jongg bags.

Each year we participate in the CHW Annual Campaign and hold telethons that help us reach out to all our supporters.

CHW Ottawa friends and donors all help to contribute to our fundraising efforts to support education, hospitals and social services in Israel and Canada.
